HBO Max Releases First Teaser for The Last of Us

On Monday (26), the streaming platform’s official channels published the first trailer for the series.

Based on the game of the same name by Sony Interactive Entertainment, the story will take place 20 years after the near extinction of the human race and the emergence of other beings on Earth. The plot is based on the relationship between the main characters and a single objective: to take Ellie out of the quarantine zone.

Set to the song “Alone and Forsaken” by Hank Williams, the video shows us a little of everything that Joel (Pedro Pascal) and Ellie (Bela Ramsey) will have to face in an apocalyptic future to stay safe and complete their mission.

The series is scheduled to be released in 2023 and, as shared by Craig Mazin (Chernobyl), creator and screenwriter of the adaptation, filming ended on June 11, 2022.
